More than $6,000 was raised to support Penn Highlands Healthcare’s Graduate Medical Education (GME) program through the 8th Annual Dr. Gary DuGan Memorial Basket Raffle.
Proceeds from the raffle, which was held July 6, 2026, through August 28, 2026, in the atrium at Penn Highlands DuBois, will help purchase materials for residents in the GME program, supporting their ongoing education and training as they prepare for careers in medicine.
The memorial event honors the legacy of Dr. Gary DuGan, who served as medical director for Penn Highlands Healthcare and was instrumental in establishing the first residency program at Penn Highlands DuBois. What began as a way to honor his contributions has become an annual tradition that continues to support the future of medical education within Penn Highlands Healthcare.
Penn Highlands Healthcare extends a sincere thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s raffle a success — from those who donated baskets and purchased tickets to everyone who helped spread the word and supported the event in any way. Your generosity helps carry forward Dr. DuGan’s legacy while investing in the next generation of physicians.
